It is good that we have a forum like this. When I became a Reiki practitioner, I was disappointed because I didn't tout myself in Santa Monica as a healer. I found myself giving silent healings to people in need. At first I felt down because nobody was coming to me for healings. Santa Monica, as you can imagine is FULL of self proclaimed 'gurus' and the like. Then it HIT me! I don't seek compensation for the healings. nor do I desire to be paid. Consequently I perform distance healings on people. Those familiar with Reiki know this to be a big part of Reiki. So I do get to practice Reiki, Crystology and Reconnective healing. I just make the Universe my 'office.'
